Chavara Darsan CMI Public School is yet another milestone in the history of educational endeavours of the Sacred Heart Province of CMI Congregation. The School was establised to perpetuate and popularize the life and vision of St. Chavara Kuriakose, the Founder of CMI Congregation.
KINDERGARTEN
The Kindergarten was established by St. Joseph’s CMI Monastery,Koonammavu in the year 2003. It has Play Class, Prep Class, LKG and UKG sections. Around 300 pupils are studying in the Kindergarten.
PUBLIC SCHOOL
Chavara Darsan CMI Public School was establised in June 2004. It is owned and managed by Chavara Darsan CMI Public School Trust,Koonammavu,(Reg.NO.No.207/2004/ IV /dated 30-3-2004) created by St. Joseph’s CMI Monastery, Koonammavu of S H Province of CMI Congregation.It is affiliated to CBSE, Delhi with affil.No.930613. It has classes from I to XII.At present the strength of the School is 1437.
The School is artistically designed ,equipped with ample facilities for studying,working,playing and for recreation.It is most efficiently run and managed by CMI congregation, under the guidance of highly qualified and experienced priests. The visionary inspiration of St. Chavara Kuriakose (1805-1871), in responding to the needs of the time, is still pursued with unflagging spirit by the CMI fathers. Through their vast network of educational institutions all over the country, the CMIs have doggedly adhered to the ideal of integration trying to bring about a right synthesis of modernity and heritage, competitiveness and co-operation, technology and humanism, quality and economy, excellence and service, self development and social sensitivity.
