World Environment Day Celebration

Chavara Darsan CMI Public School, Koonammavu celebrated World Environment Day with a variety of programs. The function was presided over by the School Principal, Rev. Fr. Mejit Vattoli CMI. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Prasheela Benny, President of Kottuvally Grama Panchayat, who also delivered a message on the importance of environmental conservation.
As part of the celebration, Aaron Moncy Joseph, a child farmer of our school was honoured for his achievements. The memento of appreciation was presented by Mr. Jamal V. H., Vice President of Kottuvally Grama Panchayat. Thereafter, Mr. Joseph John (PTA President), Mr. Basil Chackochan (Agricultural Officer), and Mrs. Anu Sunil (Ward Member) conveyed their felicitations.
Mrs. Anu George, LP Headmistress, and Mrs. Preetha Paul, KG Headmistress, were also present on the occasion. The guests delivered awareness messages to the students on the importance of environmental protection and organic farming.
The program concluded with the National Anthem.The World Environment Day celebration helped foster environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility towards nature among the students.The Science Club organized a TED-style talk competition on World Environment Day for students of Classes V to VII. The event aimed to create awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living.Students enthusiastically presented their ideas on various environmental issues and suggestedpractical solutions.
