ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
The CMI Congregation, the first of its kind to have taken its roots from Indian soil, is a religious community of Catholic priests, committed to the values lived and preached by Jesus Christ. The founder of CMI Congregation, St. Chavara Kuriakose, a very enthusiastic social reformer and a visionary in the field of education had done a lot of service at Koonammavu for seven years. The St. Joseph’s Monastery at Koonammavu established Chavara Darsan Kindergarten in June 2003, in memory of its founder. Chavara Darsan CMI Public School was the natural follow up to the Kindergarten in June 2004. In the year 2009 the school started the Senior Seconday section.
Our Mission
To fulfill Vision, we draw inspiration from the life of Jesus Christ and all noble sages, rishis and prophets of our country. Our Mission is found on the teachings of cultural heritage of our nation and we aim at holistic development of pupils. Our legacy of education is inherited from Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of CMI Congregation.
